What to Do First in a Plumbing Emergency

When water is going somewhere it shouldn’t, your first move is to stop the flow. Locate your main water shutoff valve — typically near your water meter in the basement, crawlspace, or utility area — and turn it off. This stops the water supply to your entire home and limits the damage while you wait for us to arrive. If you’re not sure where your shutoff is, call us immediately and we’ll talk you through it while we’re en route.

Burst Pipes

A burst pipe is one of the most damaging plumbing emergencies possible. A single burst pipe can release hundreds of gallons of water in minutes, flooding walls, floors, and personal belongings. We respond quickly, locate the burst section, make the repair, and check the surrounding plumbing for damage. In freezing conditions, we’ll also assess which other pipes are at risk before leaving your home.
