Trenchless Sewer Repair

Fix your sewer line without destroying your yard using trenchless technology.

Modern Sewer Repair Without the Mess

Traditional sewer repair means trenching across your yard, tearing up landscaping, driveways, and sidewalks. Trenchless sewer repair technology changes that equation entirely. David Mechanical uses proven trenchless methods to repair or replace damaged sewer lines with minimal disruption to your property.

Pipe Lining (CIPP)

Cured-in-place pipe lining creates a new pipe inside your existing one. We insert a flexible liner coated with epoxy resin into the damaged pipe, inflate it against the pipe walls, and cure it with heat or UV light. The result is a smooth, seamless, joint-free pipe within a pipe that resists roots, corrosion, and leaks. It’s rated to last 50+ years.

Pipe Bursting

When the existing pipe is too damaged for lining, pipe bursting pulls a new high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe through the old one, breaking the old pipe apart as it goes. The new pipe is slightly larger, improving flow capacity, and the seamless HDPE material is virtually immune to root intrusion and corrosion.

The Right Method for Your Situation

Not every sewer problem calls for the same solution. After our camera inspection, we’ll recommend the most effective and cost-efficient approach — whether that’s lining, bursting, spot repair, or in some cases, traditional excavation for a specific section. Our goal is the best long-term result for your property.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is trenchless sewer repair?
Trenchless repair fixes or replaces your sewer line without digging a trench across your yard. We use either pipe lining (inserting a new pipe inside the old one) or pipe bursting (pulling a new pipe through while breaking the old one apart). Both methods require only 1-2 small access holes.
Is trenchless repair as good as traditional replacement?
Yes — often better. CIPP liners and burst-in pipes are made from high-density materials rated to last 50+ years. They create a seamless, joint-free pipe that resists root intrusion and corrosion.
Can every sewer line be repaired trenchlessly?
Most can, but not all. Severely collapsed pipes or pipes with major bellies may require traditional excavation for a portion of the repair. We always perform a camera inspection first to determine the best approach.
How long does trenchless sewer repair take?
Most trenchless repairs are completed in 1 day, compared to 2-3 days for traditional excavation. Your yard stays intact, and disruption to your daily routine is minimal.
